TERMS AND CONDITIONS for Purchasing the HerzegovinaBike Navigation Package
Use of the website www.herzegovinabike.ba, navigation packages, and the Komoot and Ride with GPS cycling platforms.
- Thank you for being part of the HerzegovinaBike network, the first specialized website connecting and showcasing cycling routes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. By purchasing this navigation package and/or using the information gathered and published by the HerzegovinaBike team on its website or any story published across multiple media platforms, you are embarking on an epic adventure through one of the most vibrant and exciting regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- By purchasing and/or using the information collected and published by the HerzegovinaBike team, you also take full responsibility for your actions as a traveler and cyclist.
- Cycling offers both pleasures and risks. By using the information provided by HerzegovinaBike to explore the world on two wheels, you accept these risks as your own and acknowledge that any incident involving you, your equipment, or your fellow cyclists along the route is not the responsibility of the HerzegovinaBike team in any way.
- Routes in Bosnia and Herzegovina are carefully researched cycling routes. However, incidents involving people, animals, and getting lost on any of the routes are possible. You acknowledge this and accept full responsibility for your actions.
Purchase, Use, and Duration of the Navigation Package:
- The purchased navigation package is valid until December 31st of the current year. After this date, a new, updated version will be published, containing more information. As we continue to develop cycling in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the routes offered on our site will also evolve. However, the previous version will still be available for all who have purchased it and will remain valid indefinitely.
- By purchasing the navigation package, you agree not to share your data with third parties.
Possible Risks You Accept Include — But Are Not Limited To:
- Physical injuries caused while cycling;
- Damage to your bicycle or other equipment;
- Encounters with people along the cycling route; encounters with animals, including wild animals and domestic animals (guard dogs and similar);
- Getting lost along the route;
- Limited wireless service in remote areas.
Special Note:
- On some sections of the route, you may encounter warning signs for landmines from previous regional conflicts. There is no danger of coming across landmines directly on the route itself. Areas — far from the trail — where there is a possibility of landmines are well marked. However, cyclists on the routes provided by HerzegovinaBike agree that the responsibility for cycling in these areas where such signs are present is entirely their own.
- HerzegovinaBike utilizes and recommends public roads. The routes provided by HerzegovinaBike and their creators are not responsible for the maintenance of these or any other roads, paths, or any other riding surface along the cycling route. Also, road systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina, like everywhere in the world, may occasionally change. We will update any changes when possible, but it is impossible to track all changes in real-time. Cyclists using HerzegovinaBike routes accept responsibility for such potential changes and their ability to adapt accordingly.
- Weather conditions in the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina can change rapidly. HerzegovinaBike routes on the Ride with GPS and Komoot applications are linked to current weather forecasts, but it is the responsibility of each traveler and cyclist to prepare for such conditions. HerzegovinaBike and its creators do not accept responsibility for changing weather conditions along the route.
- The HerzegovinaBike website lists hundreds of points of interest (POIs) — services, accommodations, etc. — across its stages. POIs and businesses may change over time. HerzegovinaBike and its creators cannot guarantee the continued existence of any POI listed in the application. We will make every effort to update the application yearly to resolve any issues.
- None of the routes provided by HerzegovinaBike are physically marked (or signposted) in nature. The routes are informative in nature and intended as an aid for easier navigation (with the help of Komoot or RWGPS apps or GPX files). HerzegovinaBike and its creators do not accept responsibility for any malfunction of the recommended apps or any other app used by cyclists along the route.
Once again, thank you for your interest and for understanding that adventure brings both rewards and potential risks. Just as you deserve the former, you accept 100% responsibility for the risks.
