President of the Cycling Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiSaBiH) boravio u Zürichu, Švicarska, gdje je sudjelovao na 193 zasjedanju UCI Congress, which gathers the world's leading experts and leaders in cycling. This congress represents an exceptional opportunity for the exchange of experiences, the presentation of national initiatives and the strengthening of international relations in the world of cycling.
During his stay in Zurich, the president of BiSaBiH proudly presented the interests of BiH cyclists, emphasizing the importance of the continuous development of cycling sports in our country. A special focus was on the improvement of road cycling, the education of young talents and the strengthening of cooperation between international institutions and domestic sports organizations.
One of the key moments of the congress was the presentation of the training camp for children and coaches, organized as part of it Blidinje BIKE Festival. This project is presented as a positive example of good organization and support for the development of sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina. UCI recognized the potential of this event and expressed his readiness for even greater support for the development of cycling in our country.
The Congress gathered representatives from even 115 countries, and the Bosnian delegation received support for several projects that will further improve the cycling scene in BiH in the coming period. UCI, which counts 203 member countries, recognized the importance of our cycling association and confirmed that he will invest additional efforts in the development of this sport in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
These recognitions and support give additional incentive to BiSaBiH to continue its efforts in promoting cycling, as a sport that positively affects health, the environment and tourism.
President Cycling Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Toni Zorić, expressed his satisfaction with the agreements reached during his stay in Switzerland:
"I am extremely pleased with the visit to the UCI congress in Zurich, where we received great recognition for our work and reached important agreements with the leaders of world cycling. With the president of the UCI Davidom Lappartientom and president UEC-a Enrico Della Cassa we agreed on further support for BiH cycling through UCI Solidarity projects. We will continue with the organization of training camps for children and young athletes, with support through cycling equipment and bicycles, as well as training programs for professional staff in the Association. It is important to say that through these projects we will educate our working bodies, including mechanics, trainers and national commissioners and judges. These agreements give us a big wind behind us for future projects that will further improve cycling in our country."
The stay of the president of BiSaBiH at the UCI congress brought not only important contacts and support, but also recognition for the work of the association so far. This is a big step forward for the cycling community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and confirmation that our sport has a bright future on the international scene.
