The small mountain village of Vrdi on the slopes of Mount Čabulje, about twenty kilometers north of Mostar, offers untouched nature and a magnificent view of the Neretva canyon.
Vrdi settled on the road between Drežnica and Gorani. In the village, residents keep livestock such as cows and goats, but also donkeys, rabbits and even semi-domesticated badgers. The popular immortelle also took root in the village. A walk through this landscape brings great therapy with the images, sounds and smells of nature.
In the village on the edge of the cliff, which is also called the "northern gate of Mostar", you can also see the statue of Ivan Merz, a Banja Luka resident whom Pope John Paul II called an outstanding layman in witnessing the gospel, and which is located on a "mini roundabout" on Vrdima, right next to the cemetery and a wonderful viewpoint on the river Neretva, which is located between the mountain massifs, and which completes part of this small town.
