It is easy to say that 2024 is the year in which cycle tourism experienced new frontiers when it comes to adventure tourism. Association HerzegovinaBike is proud to announce the opening of a new cycling route in the vicinity of Mostar, which will further enrich the tourist offer of this area and attract many lovers of cycling and nature. New cycling route "Cemetery of peace and wild horses on Bile” which enriches the tourist offer of Mostar and Herzegovina, has just been completed, with a map, descriptions, photos and information about points of interest.
This route, 45 kilometers long, leads cyclists through untouched areas of the Herzegovina region, connecting several important tourist attractions, the most prominent of which are the Goranci, the Peace Cemetery in Bilim, the stećak necropolis in Gornji Polog and an encounter with wild horses in Bilim.

The starting point of this cycling adventure is Mostar, from where the route starts uphill towards Goranaci, the favorite excursion spot of all Mostars. After a demanding start, cyclists will have the opportunity to rest and refresh themselves in the famous Konoba Goranci restaurant, where they can enjoy local food and an authentic atmosphere. Goranci is not only a picnic spot but also a real paradise for nature lovers, with its parks, sports fields and a small zoo.
Continuing on, cyclists will head towards Bili, where the unique experience of visiting the Peace Cemetery awaits them. This place, located on Bile, is a memorial center dedicated to the victims of totalitarian regimes from the Second World War and the aftermath. The Peace Cemetery, surrounded by majestic mountains and untouched nature, offers a special experience of history and silence, with the possibility of meeting wild horses that roam freely in this area. These horses, a symbol of endurance and freedom, are a real attraction for all visitors, providing them with an unforgettable experience in a natural environment.
The route continues towards Grabova draga, where cyclists cross the macadam road that leads to the stećak necropolis in Gornji Polog. This ancient necropolis, located in a picturesque location at the foot of the Obale hill, contains 75 stećaks, some of which are richly decorated and testify to the rich history of this region. Cyclists will have the opportunity to stop and explore this unique site before descending back towards Mostar.
