Muslibegović House, located in Mostar, offers a unique opportunity to experience everyday life from the Ottoman period. Alongside the houses of the family Bišćević (1635.) i Kajtaz (18th century), Muslibegović House (19th century) are among the most important examples of residential architecture from that period. These historic houses, intriguing and exceptionally well preserved, bear authentic witness to the lifestyle and culture of that time.
Muslim families lived in houses surrounded by high walls that provided privacy. The inner courtyards, or avlija, reflect the harmony between architecture and nature. They are characterized by decorative elements such as stone paths, fountains, exotic plants, fruit trees and flowers, creating an atmosphere of peace and intimacy. The rooms inside the house are decorated with an emphasis on comfort, with rich carpets, furniture from that period and objects from everyday life. Of particular interest are the small libraries that preserve rare texts and books.
A visit to the Muslibegović House provides a glimpse into the world of past centuries, where luxury and practicality harmoniously intertwine. The house is open to visitors every day from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing an opportunity to feel the spirit of a historical period for a moment and take home priceless impressions.
