Grude is a municipality and a populated place in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The municipality of Grude is located on the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, on the edges of the fertile Imotsko-Bekija field, in Zabiokovlje. It is bounded by Biokovo in the south, and by the Vrana and Čvrsnica mountain massifs in the north (Posušje municipality). With its 17,308 inhabitants and an area of 218 square kilometers, the municipality belongs to the West Herzegovina County within the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Grude borders all municipalities of the West Herzegovina County: Posušje (in the north), Široki Brijeg (in the east), Ljubuški (in the south); as well as with the municipalities of Imotski, Lovreć, Runovići, Zmijavci (in the west) in Split-Dalmatia County.
This landscape is overgrown with low vegetation typical of karst regions. The proximity to the sea gives this region a mild climate with Mediterranean characteristics.
Grude is also rich in natural beauty - from numerous pits and caves characteristic of this stony, karst landscape to - which is unusual for this area - numerous springs and water resources (Krenica lake, Matica - Tihaljina - Trebižat river).
The Croatian Defense Council and the Croatian Community of Herceg-Bosna were founded in Grude.

The municipality of Grude is located in the eastern part of the old Imotski Krajina, and includes the eastern part of the Imotski polje.
Grude is 49 km from Mostar, 15 km from Imotski, and 82 km from Split.
Relief and structure
The municipality of Grude is integrated around Imotski polje. It has all the characteristics of a relatively closed karst depression. The open valley of the Neretva and the immediate coastal area have very little influence on it. From a morphological point of view, the terrain is divided into three special units, namely: the northeastern beam, the Dinaric direction extending at an altitude of about 590 m, on the southwestern edge of which is the town of Grude. Then, towards the southeast, the Imotski polje depression continues at an altitude of 270 and 250 m, whose southeastern frame ends with two smaller capes, the longer one on which the settlement of Drinovci is located and the shorter one on which the settlement of Blaževići is located. The highest point in this part of the edge of Imotski polje on the territory of Grude municipality is 674 m above sea level. The altitude of the settlement ranges from 160 to 560 meters above sea level. Also, the easternmost point of Imotski polje is located in the municipality of Gruda, in the town of Podledinac (Ledinac).
On the first morphological unit that forms the northeastern edge of the Imotski field due to the basic geological substratum (limestones) there are many sinkholes and hummocks, while on the southwestern ridge that forms the southwestern edge of the Imotski field and the previously mentioned third morphological unit of the relief of this area, there are no such phenomena. because the terrain mainly consists of dolomite and dolomite limestone. Because of this, there are karst springs on the northeastern edge of the Imotski polje due to polluted zones, and mainly sinkholes along the southwestern edge. Spring: Klokun in Tihaljina, Grudsko vrilo. Sinkholes: Šainovac sinkhole, Dzamba sinkhole, Perkića sinkhole, Vidrinka sinkhole and Mikulića sinkhole. It should be emphasized that the city located on the southern and southwestern slopes of the foothills of Vitroša and the northeastern edge of the Imotski polje has favorable spatial conditions for urban development.
