The Continental Blidinje BIKE Festival, one of the most important cycling festivals in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been re-included in the International Cycling Union (UCI) calendar for the 2025 edition and once again carries the high rank of UCI Class 1. This prestigious event continues to grow and attract cycling enthusiasts from all over the world, once again confirming its importance in promoting the sport and tourism potential of the Blidinje Nature Park, but also of Bosnia and Herzegovina itself.
After achieving huge successes in 2024, Continental Blidinje BIKE Festival 2025. 2019 promises to be an even bigger step forward in the organization, and will once again bring together cyclists from more than 20 countries, including numerous world-class athletes and enthusiasts. In addition to the top-notch sports competition, the Festival will provide a unique opportunity to promote Blidinje, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina, as an attractive tourist destination.
“The Continental Blidinje BIKE Festival in 2025 will be another step forward in presenting Bosnia and Herzegovina as one of the best cycling destinations in the world. Our goal is to continue raising the bar and create an event that is not only sporting, but also touristic, and promotes our natural beauty, cultural heritage and gastronomy.," stated Toni Zorić, president of the Cycling Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The UCI Class 1 ranking, which the festival has once again achieved for 2025, represents an exceptionally high level of international cycling events. This ranking is reserved for races that bring together well-known names from the cycling world, and only the most prestigious events such as the "Hors Class" are above it, which are held in countries with the most developed cycling traditions, such as Italy, France and Germany.
“Given the growing interest in cycling, our goal is for the Continental Blidinje BIKE Festival to be a platform that will allow our country to show all its potential. This event is an opportunity not only for sport, but also for the promotion of tourism and economic development of the region. Although UCI Class 1 will bring great international attention, we will not stop there. We will continue to work on making the festival an even more important event on the European and World cycling scene", emphasizes Zorić.
Continental Blidinje BIKE Festival will continue to be an event that brings together cycling and nature lovers. Over the course of three days, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy cycling routes that lead through the impressive landscapes of the Blidinje Nature Park, participate in planned activities for children, explore local attractions and enjoy top-notch Herzegovinian delicacies.
