The Bicycling Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a regular reporting Assembly in Mostar

On Saturday, December 21, 2024, the regular reporting Assembly of the Cycling Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held in Mostar, attended by club representatives and athletes from all over the country.

The assembly began with a ceremonial part, during which the best cyclists were awarded trophies for outstanding sports results in 2024. The best athletes in the elite categories this year were Lejla Njemčević and Vedad Karić, and it should be especially noted that Lejla brought the first European medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2024. In addition, it should be emphasized that significant successes have also been achieved in the younger categories, where talented male and female cyclists continue to make their way to top sport.

After the ceremonial part, a presentation of the innovative Rolla application, with which the BiH Cycling Association plans to establish cooperation. This application brings numerous opportunities for clubs and their members, including monitoring activities, virtual training and participation in various competitions. The company's director Igor Krezić expressed his wish to personally meet the best cyclists and their clubs, and presented the application's functionalities to them in detail, highlighting its potential for improving the work of clubs and additional motivation of members, as well as enabling easier access and monitoring of training. This presentation aroused great interest among both athletes and clubs, and it is planned to start implementing this cooperation at the beginning of next year.

President of the BiH Cycling Federation, Toni Zorić, emphasized the importance of this cooperation and stated:
"Today's Association Assembly proved to be an excellent opportunity to present the Rolla application to all cycling clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will enable them to train better, connect with other clubs and athletes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and monitor the activities of their members. We believe that Rolla will contribute to the motivation and greater affirmation of athletes in clubs through a system for monitoring activities and competitions. Our goal is to have a strategic partner like Rolla, which will support cycling as a sport. We believe that by the end of 2025 we will be able to organize virtual competitions between clubs, which would make us, along with the UCI, the first Association in Europe, and I believe in the world, to have managed to organize something like this. Rolla is a domestic BiH product that is available to us, and our joint cooperation can bring great benefits not only to athletes but also to the development of cycling as a sport as a whole."

In the official part of the Assembly, the President Toni Zorić submitted a detailed report on the work of the Federation during 2024, which was unanimously adopted. It was emphasized that 2024 was an extremely challenging year, but despite this, numerous significant projects were successfully implemented, ties with international institutions were improved, and Bosnia and Herzegovina was presented as a country of sports. After that, it was presented The Alliance's work plan and program for 2025, which foresees numerous projects and activities aimed at the further development of cycling sports and recreational activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Zorić expressed his satisfaction with the successful organization of the Assembly in his hometown and stated:
"I am happy that we once again had the opportunity to hold the Assembly of the Federation in my city of Mostar and host athletes from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our mayor, Dr.Mario Kordić and the City Council of the City of Mostar for their support in the implementation of this project, in order to present the City of Mostar as a good host and ensure a high-quality and transparent Assembly."
