The largest holiday-themed bike ride is once again bringing joy and holiday spirit to the streets of Mostar! On Sunday, December 22, 2024, will be held 13th Santa Claus/Clause bike ride, organized by the Mostar Cycling Club and the Association for the Promotion of Cycling Herzegovina Bike, which is also on the program this year Winter Advent in Mostar which has been traditionally organized for several years City of Mostar.
The ride starts at 1:00 PM from Rondo (in front of the Croatian House Herceg Stjepan Kosača), where cyclists, dressed in their recognizable red Santa Claus suits, will gather ready to light up the hearts of all their fellow citizens, especially the youngest, with their cheerful spirit. The cyclists will ride a circular route through the city, sharing sweets and special gifts to children who find themselves on the streets, with the inevitable loud shout Ho-Ho-Ho!
A heartwarming holiday ride
“One of our most beautiful and joyful events is upon us again. Cyclists dressed in red Santa Claus suits will ride through the streets of the city to bring the holiday spirit to our citizens. This is already a traditional event that attracts a large number of cyclists every year, and we hope that this year the turnout will be even greater.," stated Toni Zorićpresident of the HerzegovinaBike association.
Cycling route
Recreational event starts from Rondo, continues Lenin's Promenade (Nikola Šubića Zrinski Street) to Spanish Square, then Bulevarom, across the Port Bridge and Maršala Tito Street, passing by Musala, Hotel Ero, the Customs Bridge and the Railway Station. The ride continues towards Zalik, over the new bridge to the top of the Avenue, then down Kralja Tomislava street to Strelčevina and back to Rondo, where participants will enjoy socializing with mulled wine, hot drinks and holiday delicacies.
Invitation to citizens and cyclists
The organizers invite all citizens of Mostar to come out to the streets and say hello Merry Santa Claus procession and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Anyone who wears a Santa Claus costume or at least puts on a recognizable red cap can join the bike ride.
