In the premises of the HerzegovinaBike Association (Visitor Center Buna), a meeting was held with representatives of cycling clubs that exist in the territory of Herzegovina, with the presence of the president of the HerzegovinaBike association, Tonij Zorić, the secretary of the HerzegovinaBike association, Stanislava Borovac, who took the minutes of the meeting, and the secretary of the Bicycling Association of the Federation of Bosnia. and Herzegovina, Biljane Krtalić.
There are currently 19 cycling clubs in Herzegovina that jointly promote cycling as a sport and recreation, as well as cycle tourism, organizing numerous cycling events of both professional and recreational nature.
In a constructive atmosphere, they discussed the calendar of events, and the direction and methods of joint action in 2024.
The meeting was opened by the president of the HerzegovinaBike association, Toni Zorić, also the initiator of this meeting, who greeted all those present, thanked them for coming and for their time, and said: "The idea of the meeting is for us, as representatives of the clubs, to get to know each other even better, through a joint conversation to present the current problems that the clubs face in their work, to discuss ways of solving problems, and to present some new ideas, projects and agree on the organization of events, as well as the direction of action both in the current year and in the years ahead“.
When we talk about the calendar of professional events, this year clubs from Herzegovina will organize 10 events that promote cycling as a professional sport, and bring valuable points to all UCI licensed cyclists, both for the title of National Champion, Premier League of BiH, and UCI points that are valuable for to the issue of athletes going to European or World level events, and ultimately the Olympic Games.
On the other hand, in the current year, Herzegovina will organize almost 20 recreational events that promote cycling tourism and the natural beauty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in this way attract thousands of both domestic and foreign guests to our country. Some of these events are bicycle rides along the Ćira track, and in 2024, the HerzegovinaBike Association will organize six Ćira bike rides in cooperation with local clubs.

Biljana Krtalić took the floor and presented the work of the Bicycling Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which she serves as the secretary, and introduced the clubs that exist in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the direction of action of the Federal Association. On that occasion, she said that the Federal Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina currently has 35 member clubs, and explained to the Herzegovinian clubs the ways and procedure of joining the Federal Federation and invited them to contact her with any ambiguities and questions.
Stanislava Borovac presented the direction of activities of the HerzegovinaBike association regarding the organization of educational workshops, and said that in 2024 we will organize a workshop of cycle tour guides, which will be held as part of Blidinje BIKE Festival event, and the plan is to hold other workshops. One of them is a workshop with clubs on writing projects and applying them to relevant ministries, as well as a workshop that will better familiarize clubs with work on social networks, tools that help in creating visuals, and ways to create a post that has good reach.
Na veoma konstruktivnom sastanku raspravljalo se i o načinima uključivanja većeg broja mlađih članova i djece u biciklizam, gdje su brojni klubovi ovo vidjeli kao ključni pravac svog djelovanja. Na kraju sastanaka dogovorena je i ideja o ponovnom pokretanju cestovnog rekreativnog događaja „Upoznaj Hercegovinu“, na kojem će sudjelovati svi klubovi iz Hercegovine, ali i gosti iz ostalih zemalja regije, te otvoriti sezonu, upoznati vozače automobila o svom prisustvu na cestama, te još jednom promovirati Hercegovinu kao turističku destinaciju.
